You’d be hard pressed to find something that stokes us more than warm beach days and south swells — but there’s something to be said for trading in your iced coffee for hot, suiting up in the dark before the surf P.E. class gets there, and powder days (obviously).
Yes, as surfers, cold weather — and water! — heralds in a special time of year. In the colder months, we’re still rocking Hurley innovation, it’s just that instead of Phantom boardshorts, we’re keeping warm in Advantage Wetsuits which feature heat-trapping yarns that keep you warm during your session but dry quickly between sessions — meaning a cold, wet wetsuit doesn’t have to put a damper (pun intended) on your next one. This year, our full suits aren’t just the warmest we’ve ever made, they’re also our most flexible (shout out Exoflex material and performance patterning seams) and our most sustainably-made too (shout out to recycled materials and processes that use less water and create less waste).
In the winter, our uniform goes a little like this: hot coffee in hand, any number of graphic longsleeve tees, layered with a flannel (if it’s really cold, a sherpa-lined flannel’s where it’s at), khaki joggers, and one of our new Hurley jackets. This year, we added some heavy hitters from the snowboard world to our roster, like Zak Hale, Brandon Davis, and Sean Fitzsimons, meaning we stepped up our outerwear program. Enter favorites like: the Sebastian Sherpa Lined Parka, the Balsam Quilted Packable Jacket, and the Barrel 2.0 Puffer Jacket.
Whether you’re enjoying winter swells at your local or winter storms in the mountains, we’ve got everything you need to enjoy it in warmth and style.
