The Hawaii winter surf season is officially on. Hundreds of surfers and media showed up to the island of Oahu last week, all expecting huge northwest swells with light offshore winds. But much to their dismay it's been windy and rainy with a little bit of northeast swell. But it's not all that bad here in Hawaii in November. Air and water temp is hovering at a very nice 80 degrees. And we shouldn't be complaining about head high righthand sand points. To top that off, the forecast looks great for next week! Solid northwest swell with light offshores. Stay tuned for many more updates from the Rock in middle of the Pacific.—Joel

Elijah Gates Wins The Explorer Menehune On Kauai

This weekend was really fun! It started off as a disaster because the contest kept switching places and we were practicing a kealia but she( Bobbie Parker) changed it to this spot called PK's on the south shore and i'm not so famous at that spot. Then i got 5th place and i wasn't so stoked. But then i just got my act together and found the spot to and won the explorer menehune division. —Elijah

Hurley Boys Have Great Weekend At The NSSA On Kauai

We just got back from Kauai last night. We flew over for the NSSA at PK’s on the south shore. Waves were pumping as there was a solid out of season southswell.

It was a great weekend for the Hurley Boys. First off Elijah gates got his first win of the season. He took out the explorer menehune division. Elijah was on fire Sunday collecting huge scores all the way to his victory. Elijah also got a 5th place on Saturday in the Open Boys.

Fellow Hurley riders Kaulana Apo and Kalen Galtes also made two finals. Kaulana got 4^thplace in the open boys and 6^th place in the Explorer menehune, and Kalen got a 6^th place in the Open Juniors, and 3^rd place finish in the explorer boys.
