What inspires you to skate? Learning something new.
Who do you skate with? Lincoln Ueda, Danny Way, PLG...a lot of guys are fun and some push you to progress. No one pushes me like Danny Way does.
If you could go on a skate trip anywhere in the world, where would you go? China is pretty amazing, Shanghai to be specific. The huge skatepark over there and there's rad street spots. Always easy to travel with Bruno Passos to film and skate with. Brian Flick for photos and skating with, and my wife Veronica to help me with her physical therapy skills and her love. Anyone else who's open to new terrain. Rune Glifberg is one of those guys.
Name two things that are lame: Skating when you're injured and skating all day and not making anything.
Name two things that you love: My family and learning something new.
Things you wish you could do on skateboard: A kickflip ollie 540 would be nice.
Last Words: I hope these aren't my last words.

Bob Burnquist was on a Silver streak at X Games 15 this year taking Silver medals in both the Big Air and the Big Air Rail Jam events. With some questionable scoring in the Big Air event placing Bob in second, it was the Big Air Rail Jam event that would have Bob digging deep into his big bag of tricks in search of some X Games Gold.
Unfortunately for Bob, Mega Ramp innovator Danny Way proved to be a factor in the Rail Jam with his own arsenal of both regular and switch stance tricks. Danny Way was determined to perform despite a badly injured ankle and after several attempts at multiple tricks, Danny set down a switch stance 50-50 that would earn him the Gold in the Big Air Rail Jam event. Bob was now moving into the Vertical Ramp event with one last chance to at Gold but PLG — who decided to skip both the Big Air and Big Air Rail Jam events — was poised and focused on the Gold and proved to be victorious in the Vertical Ramp event.
On the Street course, Hurley Brazil's Rodolfo Ramos ripped his way through the qualifier round earning himself a shot at the podium and possible Gold Medal. AKA Gugu ripped in the finals and threw down big tricks but unfortunately the competition of Paul Rodriguez, Nijah Houston and Adam Dyet would hold Rodolfo off of the podium in the street skating competition.
Some of the top amateur skaters from across the nation were also on hand for the finals of two major amateur contest series. The Home Town Heroes contest series covers the entire nation bringing some of the best amateur skaters to LA to skate the the world class street course during the X Games. Hurley team riders Curren Caples and Nick Fiorini represented their home towns of Ventura and Phoenix in this year's final. Phoenix ripper Nick Fiorini tore his way through the qualifier round into the finals of this years HTH's event.
The second series with their finals being held on the killer street course at this year's X Games was the National High School Skate Association's Futures Am Series. 13 yr old Hurley team rider Caedyn Curto of Hermosa Beach ripped his way into 2nd place for a Silver Medal prize package provided by Powell Skateboards, Bones wheels and bearings and Hurley.
This year's annual shop team challenge contest at X Games 15 saw Hurley team rider David Loy help bring home the Gold for the Active ride shop crew.
In the Skate Park competition, Bruno Passos looked strong on the course and put down some of the best tricks of the contest over the massive cradle gap. Blast master Sergie Ventura aldso drew some clean lines and boosted some huge airs in the qualifier rounds. The competition was stiff and when the dust settled it would be Rune Glifberg, Andy Mac Donald, and Chad Bartie taking the podium positions and the medal home.
In the Skate Park, Legends event Lester Kasai, Steve Alba, and Pat Ngoho ripped up the park course with clean lines and some classic style by some of the riders the made skateboarding what it is today. Skateboard Legends Christian Hosoi, Chris Miller, and Lance Mountain would claim the top three stops making one of the most memorable podiums in skateboarding history.
Congratulations to all our riders who participated and ripped at X Games 15 in Los Angeles and we'll see you next year! — AA
