Brick + Mortar represent the underground, the oppressed, the disillusioned, and voiceless. Fusing driving percussion, grooving bass, eclectic samples, and anthemic vocals creates a new world sound that is so fresh you truly need to hear it for yourself. Their live show is a party that erupts like a magnetic sonic volcano catching the attention of everyone in the room, drawing them to the stage full of intrigue and energy. It's hard to really put it into words. Words never do them justice. You need to experience it on your own. |

Shivery Shakes was started as an escapist side-project of William Glosup and Robert Baldwin in 2011. Quickly, it became the main focus out of their many musical ventures. Their songs are bedroom-dreamt, sunburst-tinged creations reminiscent of a 60s pop sound, with a modern twist. In their local scene, they gained immediate recognition for their pop sensibility and live energy. Numerous reviews have stated that they are one of the fastest rising bands of Austin, defying genre boundaries and creating simple but original music in a fun and exciting style. In March of 2012, Shivery Shakes released their first eponymous EP, and they are releasing a follow-up 7" in fall of 2012 on Daily Routine Records. Pursuant with the local success of their EP, they took a 22-date tour in the summer of 2012, which put them on the national radar. Currently, they are working on a full-length release for the spring of 2013. |
Hindu Pirates is a Huntington Beach-based band of five dudes, who are fusing garage rock and blues...definitely in the same vein as Fidlar, Allah-Las,The Soft Pack. All the members are 18-21 with the youngest of the bunch Giuseppe LoBasso who is fresh out of high school. They have all been friends since high school (that was only about 3 years ago for most of them), which is when they launched the band. The guys recently opened for Delta Spirit and Tijuana Panthers at The Observatory and have also performed with Allah-Las, The Growlers, Har Mar Superstar, JJMAZ, Gantez Warrior and many other local standouts at big venues in OC and LA - The Smell, House of Blues, La Cave, The Satellite, Avalon, Detroit Bar, Constellation Room, Continental Room, etc., as well as festivals like Desert Daze and Eclectic Roots. |
