History meets the future at the second east coast stop of the Rip My Shred Stick tour. The event took place in the United States of America's oldest city St. Augustine, Florida.

99 competitors under the age of 16 gathered to surf, make new friends and hang out with the likes of Rob Machado, Timmy Curran, Asher Nolan, Mikey DeTemple, Brandon Guilmette and Uncle Saxon Boucher.

Micro groms were clad with water weenies, safety vests and enough sunscreen to fill a pool. The spirit of surfing and having a great time in general comes easy to St. Augustine's. Each and every participant shined as bright as the days sun.

And too top it all off...we have a new female champion! MJ Keglor out surfed the boys from start to finish with her fast-precise-bottom turns and smooth cut-back moves.

In the end all the kids are truly winners and it's evident in the way they take it all in and soak up the day's fun. So much can be learned from hanging around a large group of kids. They remind us how to live life...with open arms, bright smiles and the ability to do anything they put their minds to. The future is vibrant in America's oldest city!
