Very creative, it deffinitaly attracts the eye and I like where the logo is placed. However how does this relate to Hurley, whats the message, besides just looking rad?

the fact taht he used the term 'masking' in reference to a design means that he probably knows what he is talking about, making his opinion not useless, even without having to put in a design.... probably you should just mind your own business....

You said there are "beautiful shades and perfectly applied colors". There is no shade whatsoever, just very rough masking; the colors are applied chaotically and meaninglessly, with the exception of the central face- it looks as if she was inhaling toxic fumes for a while. The only concept here is that there is none. Just a pretentious and helpless imitation of totally misunderstood collages.
