BRIEF OVERVIEW: South swell will continue to hold through Thursday morning with chest-head high to occasional overhead sets at Lowers. South swell will ease Thursday afternoon through the rest of the week, as a new but smaller SW swell moves in for the weekend. Conditions will continue to be generally favorable; with very light/variable to light offshore wind in the mornings, followed by moderate onshore westerly flow for the afternoons. Clear/sunny skies prevail for most of each day, clouds early.
THURSDAY 20th
SWELL/SURF: Primary South swell continues in the morning with chest-head high to overhead sets at Lowers (4-5' occasional 6' faces). Minor NW windswell and minor SW swell mix in. Best in the morning on incoming tide and cleanest conditions. South swell will be easing over the afternoon/night.
WIND: Calm to very light/variable to light offshore wind in the early morning, with some cloud cover and good chance for fog. Light becoming moderate westerly breeze gradually develops through the mid to late morning hours and into the afternoon, getting up to around 8-11kts. Skies become clear and sunny for the day.
FRIDAY 21st
SWELL/SURF: Primary South swell eases through the day, with secondary/building SW swell and minor NW windswell mixing in. Surf is mainly in the waist-chest high zone with occasional head high sets/peaks in the morning (3-4' occasional 5' faces). Strongest/best in morning on incoming tide and cleanest conditions.
WIND: Calm to very light/variable to light offshore wind in the early morning, with some cloud cover and good chance for fog. Light becoming moderate West-WSW breeze gradually develops through the mid to late morning hours and into the afternoon, getting up to around 8-11kts. Skies become clear and sunny for the day.
SATURDAY 22nd
SWELL/SURF: Small-scale mix of new/primary SW swell and secondary/easing South swell, along with minimal NW windswell. SW sets are mainly in the waist-chest high zone (2-4' faces).
WIND: Calm to very light/variable to light offshore wind in the early morning, with some cloud cover and good chance for fog. Light becoming moderate WSW breeze gradually develops through the mid to late morning hours and into the afternoon, getting up to around 8-11kts. Skies become clear and sunny for the day.
SUNDAY 23rd
SWELL/SURF: Primary/holding SW swell, with minimal leftovers of the old South swell and minimal NW windswell mixing in. SW sets are mainly in the waist-chest high zone (2-4' faces).
WIND: Calm to very light/variable to light offshore wind in the early morning, with some cloud cover and good chance for fog. Light becoming moderate WSW breeze gradually develops through the mid to late morning hours and into the afternoon, getting up to around 8-11kts.
