This past weekend at Trestles, Rachael Tilly won the WSA West Coast Season Championship for both Girls Longboard Under 18 and Girls Longboard Under 14. If it hasn't already, it's safe to say her trophy case will hit capacity sometime very soon. Way to go, Rachael!

Remember growing up and there was that one really cool family down the street? The one where the mom always had the good snacks: Oreos, Dunkaroos (R.I.P), fruit rollups, etc. They probably had a trampoline and you could stay up late and watch movies at their house.Well our family of Featherweights is pretty much the same thing. You've got the cool older sister who will let you wear her make up, the Mesh Maxi. Then there's the up-for-anything trouble maker, the mesh tank. Then you've got the other Featherweight tees and some flirty dresses. They're a colorful family and tons of fun. You've got to meet them, so keep reading for full introductions.

We've heard a few stories of girls crying at the mere sight of Beau Foster, which is hilarious and also makes us seriously reconsider our claim that Evan Geiselman is the Bieber of surfing. But we thought it might interest some of you (cough, cough, stalkers) to know the kinds of clothes Beau likes on his ladies. Right now he's into curly-haired girls and like always, he's still into a girl in Converse, or "Cons" as he calls them. We love the Mesh Maxi Featherweight Dress! It's light, flowy and can be worn as a dress or a skirt. But the best part about it is seeing how everyone is styling it around the office. Here's what Brie from design had to say about the Mesh Maxi: "I love the options I have with this dress whether I’m wearing it as a skirt or a dress. The vest is a Hurley classic and the necklace just adds a little bit of fun. The boots, well, the boots give me the height I’m lacking ;) And I’m wearing the dress EVERYWHERE, but this specific outfit would be perfect for a rad concert, or a hot date..." Yesterday as our friend and model, Lanna Lyon, gave us a tour of her Venice Beach rental, it became obvious that she's got a lot of cool stuff (photos, taxidermy, love notes, skulls, and so on). So we asked her what she'd take with her if her house was on fire. Well first she'd grab Mama, her hairless rat. Duh. Hey, did you guys hear about that music festival? Think it was called Coachella or something. Anyway, Lanna went and had a ball as per usual; music, friends, sunshine, pool parties — all set to that can't-put-your-finger-on-it type of beauty found only in the Coachella Valley. We like to pretend we're tough sometimes, ya know, don't like to get wrapped up in the lovey dovey stuff. But even our luke warm aortic valves skipped a beat when we saw these pictures of Hawaiian lovebirds, Hurley team rider Evan Valiere and girlfriend Brittney Valverde. Photographer, Ja Tecson set out to capture the unique brand of relaxation found only on the North Shore. And it worked, because we're about to go search Costa Mesa for a hammock to snuggle up in. It's not hard to have fun at Coachella, but when you're Rosie, you take fun to a whole other level. She even has a tattoo that says "FUN IS FUN" — so she really knows a thing or two about having a good time. Did you all survive Coachella weekend one? We're still deciding if we did or not. But one thing we are sure of is that all of you in attendance were looking all kinds of cute. And after a perusal of many a Coachella street style blog, we've come to the consensus that flower crowns, my little pony hair colors, denim overalls and sexy-tomboy-by-way-of-grunge are all having a large moment on the festival scene.
