By now you know Evan Geiselman and his ankle have made nice (and in record time, too, because as we previously reported his ankle has the healing strength of a celebrity mom). But here are two new edits to reiterate the point. Pick your poison, or indulge in both these options: fun Costa Rican lefts with his brother Eric, or a whirlwind trip through Europe, Spain and Portugal in particular.

A new springtime edit is up at Evan G's new blog and other than great surfing from Crewsy, Oliver and Evan, you can see Oliver try to talk to girls. Which is really funny. Give it a watch over at evangeiselman.org.

As evident by half the California workforce calling in sick the last few days, swell from every direction has been slamming the West Coast for a week straight. Hopefully you were able to indulge in some of the magic. But if not, head over to Surfline and live vicariously through the lives of our friends Evan Geiselman, Oliver Kurtz and Michael Dunphy, as they have been scoring for days on end. And now that the swell's starting to fade, get back to work! Photo: Klein/Surfline

Big shout out to Mitch Crews (above) and Evan Geiselman, who both placed equal 5th this past weekend at the 6-Star event in Newcastle, Australia. The boys are now off to Western Australia for the Prime-rated ASP Drug Aware Pro, where they'll join Brett Simpson, Ace Buchan and Brian Toth in what's forecasted to be a week of perfect, big surf. Lots of ASP points are up for grab at the second Prime event of the year, so tune in here to cheer the boys on.

Hurley's Mitch Ross checks in from the ASP 6 Star Surfest event at Newcastle, Australia: Last night in conjunction with the Surfest event there was a big old fashioned surfer signing at one of Newcastle's best surf stores, Sandbah. The store is owned by former pro surfer, Rhys Smith, who played host to some of the biggest names in the game including Hurley team riders, Ace Buchan, Evan G and Mitch Crews. Our guys hung in the store with Taj, Parko and some other big names, signing hundreds of autographs for heaps of stoked-out groms.

So far at the Surfest event, Ace, Evan and Mitch have all advanced through to the Round of 16 — where Quarterfinal spots and big points are up for grabs. Tune in here to watch the action later today.

For the rest of 2012, Evan Geiselman and Mitch Crews will be partnering up on the road in hopes of qualifying for the Dream Tour in '13. After a few weeks off the grind the boys are back in action at the 6-Star event at Newcastle, The Mark Richards Pro — a great opportunity to pick up a solid result. So far, Evan's already through a heat and into the next round, while Mitch gets to surf his first heat against one of his best mates, Jack Freestone, when competition resumes. Also surfing at Newcastle are beach break standout Michael Dunphy and Ace Buchan, who's feeling good after his 5th last week on the Gold Coast. Watch all the live action, head over to surfest.com.

Evan's above-the-lip bag of tricks was no match for 143 of the 144 surfers at the ASP 6-Star event held at Manly Beach. Evan felt right at home in the small, New-Smyrna-like waves and ended up finishing in an impressive 2nd place spot behind Australian, Matt Banting — who also won the Pro Junior division. With the result, Evan has moved up to #12 in the ASP World Rankings — a great start to his 2012 qualification campaign! Watch the Australian Open final day highlights here. Photo: ASP/Robertson
