For their latest video, Suedeheade took a jump back in time, and the results were distinctively doo-wop, black and white and awesome. Click here to see Suedehead perform, "I Believe In Love" (with a sweet little cameo from our own C.R. Stecyk III).
Our good friend, Davey Warsop of Suedehead, checks in after weekend one of Coachella. Read on for the scoop…
What's a better way to ring in St. Patrick's Day than by touring with the quintessential St. Patrick's Day band, Flogging Molly? Well we really can't think of any other way — and luckily our friend Davey Warsop from Suedehead can tell us all about it. Davey documented their time on the "8th Annuel Green 17 Tour" which went up the west coast and ended in Vegas and Tempe, AZ for St. Patrick's Day finales. All the good times are documented below.
P.S. if you're going to Coachella, look out for Suedehead, as they're coming in hot to the Indio Polo Fields in a few weeks.
We're stoked on Suedehead's new music video, and so is Google Music.
Backed by members of SoCal bands Hepcat and The Aggrolites, Suedehead mix ska, soul, punk and a vintage brand of American rock 'n' roll into a familiar but affecting sound. Organs and horns flare, but it's the band's sturdy guitar riffs and Warsop's raspy, emotive voice that give songs like "Small Town Hero" their appeal. Half way through the drive to the East Coast, we stopped off at a gas station and supermarket in some tiny town called Snow Shoe in Pennsylvania. Population 1,000. It had a crazy shop that was like a time warp…
So we're a few days into our jaunt from Orange County, California, out to the east coast to begin the Social Distortion/ Chuck Ragan/ Suedehead Fall tour. This is a familiar yet strange journey for me. Having done a couple years of heavy touring with a previous band, getting the chance to ‘get (back) in the van’ and ‘live it out’ all over again leaves me feeling a heavy sense of déjà vu, combined with overwhelming feelings of appreciation and gratitude. To do something like this once is amazing. To get to do it all over again is insane. (Click through for the full rant and photos from the road)
