A few of our Hurley co-workers just finished up a pretty awesome "work" week. They were at the 8th annual Active Ride Shop Willabong event, which went down in Cardiff, San Diego, for the past three days. The event opened up with a Hurley surf day and a Rob Machado ping pong tourney before ending with a team format surf contest, where the Hurley squad of PK, Punker Pat, Nick Kovack and Phil Bannan took second place behind Spy. 1st Street Jetty, Virginia Beach blessed stop number 14 of the Rip My Shred Stick Tour with perfect conditions and one foot waves, which allowed for some seriously creative wave riding. The 85 competitors embraced the not-so-serious judging criteria as they took to the water on the Hurley INT softtops for some board transfers, shakas and silliness. The entertainment out in the water came to peak when the bonus round final featured some of the best rides we've seen this tour. Congrats to Simon Hetrick on the big win! "Hurley Rocks You Back To School Tour just finished up two sweltering stops in Florida -- West Palm Beach & Tampa -- where thunder storms, humidity, tropical sun and pouring rain found us. Matt & Kim, My Chemical Romance and Blink-182 kept the fans' minds off of the heat and proudly rocked the sunshine state. We hooked up anyone wearing Hurley with a Free Hurley T-Shirt and fans even scored Free photos inside our “One & Only” photo booth! Tampa Blink-182 Karaoke contest winners Jennifer Rodriguez and Boris Pacheco flew out with their crew from Puerto Rico just for the show. We hooked all of them up with a Blink-182 Meet & Greet!! "Hurley Rocks You Back To School with The Honda Civic Tour just finished up two more stops – North Carolina and Georgia. Charlotte was super fired up for the tour to come to town. Hundreds of fans lined up at the box offices hours before the show. We rewarded these eager fans with some Free Hurley gear just for checking in at our booth. Our “One & Only” photo booth was firing off free pictures for the fans, and we gave out Free Hurley T-Shirts for fans wearing Hurley! Hot and humid weather found us in Atlanta. The bands rocked and kept the fans' minds off of the heat. Next, we roll into West Palm Beach at the Cruzan Amphitheatre. "Hurley Rocks You Back To School with The Honda Civic Tour just finished up in Virginia Beach, VA. Fans poured into the venue despite the rainy weather. Our Facebook “Blink-182 Karaoke Contest” winner Micheline Meyers and her guest redeemed their special Blink-182 Meet & Greet passes. We hooked up some of our local VIP retailers with Meet & Greets as well! Everyone was thrilled to meet the band. We customized some special edition Hurley “Rocks You Back To School” T-Shirts, and hooked up fans wearing Hurley. Our “One & Only” photo booth was flaring up, and fans were winning Free gear just for checking in at our booth. Come see us at one of the upcoming stops soon! "Hurley Rocks You Back To School with The Honda Civic Tour just finished up with NY and NJ/Philly. Matt and Kim opened the show to their hometown crowd in Saratoga Springs. My Chemical Romance & Blink-182 followed with rocking performances -- Travis Barker created quite the frenzy with his massive 30ft high drum solo!! Our stop in Camden was the biggest venue yet! 25,000 fans and a sold out show. People were checking in at our Hurley booth and walking away with Free gear. Our “One and Only” photo booth was a huge attraction, and fans who were wearing Hurley automatically scored a FREE customized T-shirt! Next stop – Virginia Beach. "Hurley Rocks You Back To School with The Honda Civic Tour completed two more rocking stops - Salt Lake City, Utah & Denver, Colorado. Salt Lake featured quite the musical line up – H20, Rancid, My Chemical Romance and Blink-182! The stunning Aussie MJ held down our “One & Only” Free Photo Booth, and Jorge customized special edition T-Shirts for fans checking in wearing Hurley. Denver featured an early afternoon of live local music until the main doors opened at 6PM. Our Team handed out the early birds Free Hurley hats, kids jumped in our Photo Booth, and we slammed high fives! Next stop: St. Paul Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center. Ya hoooooo!!" -- Cpt. Cpt. Phantom checks in from Washington: Hurley Rocks You Back To School with the Honda Civic Tour is back in the USA. We went to sleep in Canada and awoke to sunny skies in Auburn, Washington. Our stop in Washington hosted 4 lucky winners to a Blink-182 Meet & Greet back stage -- they were so excited! Our Hurley customization truck arrived to customize Hurley Tee’s. We even have a Hurley “One & Only” Free Photo Booth! Fans were checking in with us and walking away stoked with Free goodies.
