Let's do some math. After surfing six heats at the Pipeline Pro held last weekend, John John's total point score was 95.30 — and fifth grade math tells us that if you divide that by six you have a Pipeline Pro champ on your hands...and an impressive 15.60 heat score average. Long division aside, huge congrats to John John Florence who won the Volcom Pipeline Pro for the third year in a row amid epic-looking Pipeline and Backdoor. Memorable moments include the Round of 64 when John John scored four 9s, giving him the highest heat score of the event (a 19.70), Nat Young's perfect 10, Conner's impressive road to the semis and when John John got chaired up the beach in what is essentially his backyard. All in all, it was a great warm up for the rest of what is sure to be a great year for John John and the boys. For the full write up, head to Surfline.com. Photo: Ryan Foley/Surfline.
