The US Open is right around the corner, and you know what that means – all eyes on Huntington Beach. If you've never been, click through and take a tour of some local gems courtesy of our favorite HB girl, Natalie Wilson.

We like to get away from the crowds around the pier so we head north and end up laying out somewhere between 17th and Goldenwest Street. It's nice because there is a lot more parking available in the neighborhood streets around there and its only a short skateboard/bike ride to the pier to get food. It's a perfect medium between being too far and too close.

When we get hungry sometimes we go to TK Burger or Sancho's Tacos but when we feel like being (sorta) healthy we get Banzai Bowl. It's a few blocks back from PCH on 5th street. They have the best acai bowls in Orange County and are one of the few places you can get Pitaya bowls. It's usually pretty crowded so we like to call ahead and get ours to go.

For a fun place to shop we go to American Vintage. It's right off Main street and they have so much cool random stuff. It's great for playing dress up and we usually have a pretty good laugh finding things in there. You never know what you're going to come across.

These are just a few of the gems in downtown Huntington. Having a sit down dinner upstairs at Aloha Grill or raiding the $4 cabinet at the ME Helme Antique Store are some other things you can't miss out on. Also, segway tours.
