Meet Molly Steele. She's a DIY princess, hiking enthusiast, a professional hobby-collector and she's studying botany so that one day she can open an apothecary. We love Molly's style, in clothing and in life. A true nature girl, with a knack for capturing the beauty around her. Pretty much, we can't wait to see what she does with the long hot summer that lays ahead. Keep reading for a proper introduction, and be sure to come back to the blog to see the story of Molly's summer. Photo: Brandon Harmon

My name is molly and I'm somewhere lost between 23 and 60. I grew up in an unincorporated swamp/forest/farm community in North Florida very far away from most people, and almost always spending time alone. After a few years of hitching rides around the south with punk bands as a teenager, I had to get out. So, I packed up to move to LA!

I've lived in Los Angeles for 5 years now primarily modeling and going to school. Though, if you ask anyone that knows me, they'll likely say I'm a hobby collector. I'm always working on some sort of project...learning a new instrument (I currently play 5), gardening, rebinding books, baking, making jewelry with antlers, etc. Van photo: Alia Penner

I'm studying botany in school, so it's important to me to hike and go on adventures pretty often. Whether to jump off big rocks into swimming holes, or to lead friends into a canyon far away at night to watch a meteor shower, I'm always excited to plan something. I witness a lot of people around LA and online talk about how they wish that was them, jumping off whatever rock, hiking whatever mountain. The fact is, it's so so simple and easy and possible and you should just DO IT!

Find a swimming hole or venture off the beaten path sometime...take your friends camping, or build a tent in your yard. I want to inspire everyone to do this more often...your life will be more colourful and amazing. DO. IT.
