The Hurley team had a great showing this past weekend at the NSSA West Coast Championships. Hiroto Oohara from Chiba, Japan flew in and took down some of the best junior surfers the West Coast has to offer with a 1st-place finish in the Open Mens division and 4th in the Open Juniors. Other impressive results came from Jake Marshall — 3rd in Explorer Boys and 5th in Airshow Championships, Nick Marshall — 1st in Explorer Super Groms and 6th in Explorer Menehuene, Tommy McKeown — 3rd in Explorer Super Groms, Jeremy Guilmette — 4th in Explorer Longboard, and all-around good dude, Peter Townend (winner of first-ever World Title) — 6th in Explorer Duke. Well done to the crew, and we look forward to watching them at Nationals next month!
