We left Stroudsburg today and drove to meet up with the Chuck Ragan crew. It’s a travel day today, but Chuck got an extra show booked so we decided to stop by and support our tour mates. Turns out to be an awesome D.I.Y folk/ punk show after hours at a wicked vegan restaurant called Strong Hearts Café. We chatted up the locals with Hurley stickers at the merch desk and drank loads of vegan milkshakes. Chuck played an awesome show. That guy is such an intense and heartfelt performer. It was amazing to see him light up a room of 100 die-hard fans with nothing more than a vocal P.A. This guy cut his teeth on gigs like this and it shows! Chuck is the real deal. Love that guy!

We arrived in Buffalo, NY today. We have two nights here at the same venue, The Town Ballroom. Its absolutely freezing and I feel myself getting ill. I forgot to bring gloves, a scarf or beanie so just been doing load in through the wind and rain raw dog style. Show was sold out tonight and went really well -- one of the best yet. We played tight with no mistakes and it felt pretty slick. After the show Chuck and myself were interviewed for sofakingcool.com which was rad (links to interviews below).

Woke up feeling rough today like I thought I would. I guess lack of sleep, nighttime drives and sleeping in the van in below freezing temperatures is starting to take its toll. We left all our gear in the venue so we have some extra time today before soundcheck. The rest of the lads have gone to Niagra Falls while I stay inside working and drinking throat coat hoping this sinus infection isn’t gonna destroy my voice.
Later on: set went well. Voice held up fine. There’s less people tonight but still a pretty full house and enthusiastic crowd. Managed to grab my first shower in a few days, and some soup, so feeling ok. Had a great night on merch and managed to catch a few Social D songs. Favourite song of the last few nights -- Nickels and Dimes!
