Rip My Shred Stick made European landfall yesterday in San Sebastian, Spain. And though it might not have been as heavily anticipated a debut as other American exports, like say, McDonald's and Starbucks, who've found a second home across the Atlantic, we think Rip My Shred made a good first impression. PK, the unofficial official RMSS comissioner, reported that even though it was a different continent, it was the same story in the end: Kids had fun (see the picture to the left for proof). Said PK: "Many thanks to the amazing groms who made todays event in Spain a memorable experience! Rainshowers greeted the 48 eager surfers but smiles persisted. With local press on hand, Rob Machado and Pat O'Connell coached, judged and pushed kids into the 2-4 foot waves. With a brand new GoPro Hero up for grabs, the friendly comp took on US Open levels of competitiveness for the finals! A great after party/photo presentation at Pukas surf shop capped off the day. Tomorrow we are off to France in Anglett! Wooohooooooooo!!!"
