What are the six teams up to now?
It is crunch time! With only one week left until the WTW National Championships, the final six schools are furiously practicing and putting the finishing touches on their performances. We caught up with each of the schools to see what this last week of rehearsals has looked like for them.
Toms River: The Jersey Shore has become a very exciting place. Our performance is guaranteed to show just what the Jersey Shore is all about. Our “from-scratch” outfits are almost finished being assembled and some surprise elements of our runway show are all set. Look out Snookie and Pauly D! Toms River is bringing the real Jersey Shore to Walk the Walk 2010.

Kellam: Whew! Let's talk about turning up the heat in VB. Reaching temps of 100 degrees and over, it must be that Hurley Fire under the Kellam Knights! This week we reached out to the community, passing out promotional flyers to over 50 local shops. We spotted some Kellam cheerleaders having a carwash so we even gave them some WTW posters to promote our event.

Lincoln: We know we have a tough couple of weeks ahead of us, but Jordan and Kristin's visit lifted our spirits and we're confident we'll be heading out to the competition extremely prepared. For more on our progress, check out our Lincoln WTW Blog here.

Corona Del Mar: Creative energy is flowing through the CDM workroom. Maarva, an aspiring fashion designer, is putting the finishing touches on the girl’s master outfit. Our teacher advisors and student coordinator Chandler Nicholls are attentively directing the team to finish all props and complete any alterations. We can’t believe that this surreal experience is but 2 weeks away.

Pearl City: It has been a crazy week but I feel like we have accomplished a lot. We finished almost all of the choreography and it looks bloody brilliant mate. We need to finish making some props, but with the committee we have in charge of them, there is no need to worry. SPIRIT is the word of the week and we hope the other schools are having as much fun as we are.

Huntington Beach: The clothes are done and ready to be presented to the thousands, which gives us that much more time to perfect our choreography. With only one week until the show, we are starting to stress out! But, with all of the U.S. Open radio ads, posters and advertisements plastered all over HB, we readily recognize that the excitement easily trumps the stress.
