What are the six teams up to now?
These schools are in it to win it. One week closer to the big event, these six schools are picking up the pace and doing everything in their power to make sure that their school takes home the big prize of $25,000. Each school fills us in on what they have been working on during this second week of preparation.
Corona Del Mar: Tons of progress was made at our Leadership meetings this week. I am proud to say that we have decided on an amazing theme and are putting rehearsals into gear for our dancers. After purchasing, we have begun creating our props, and have even started sewing our head-to-toe outfits. We even created a website to keep our fans up to date on our progress. Toms River: With the excitement of graduating high school and college plans beginning, our team worked in small groups to prepare for a full group meeting next week. Gabby, Armando and Matt worked to finalize our “from scratch” outfits that are sure to WOW the judges. Angela and Danna came up with an overall look for hair and makeup, using Meghan and Diedre as models.

Kellam: This is a huge week for team Kellam, as we have our local TV station and newspaper coming to interview us. These types of publication help us get hyped for the show and put more into our practices. I can’t believe that in less than one month our team will be in California, competing against the other schools for 25,000 dollars in front of half a million people.

Lincoln: "Non-stop productivity" is our current team motto. Our sewers, designers and artists are hard at work on the Head-To-Toe and Skull Candy challenges. With our theme finally set in solid stone, everything is starting to come together wonderfully. Our confidence level is gaining height every day. The judges and crowd will love what we have in store.

Pearl City: Over this past week we have been working on different outfits and the music list. Through planning and brainstorming we have come up with a variety of ideas. “We are approaching one paddle at a time,” says Austin Kawano. Communication errors and schedule conflicts have hindered our progress, but we have picked up the ball and are rolling with it.

Huntington Beach: This past week Brooke and I have been sketching like crazy and looking all over for inspiration. From researching rock 'n roll music videos to exploring the runways of Paris. We're beginning to look into fabrics to complete our actual sketches and start sewing. Our design challenge is a work in progress!
