Spending the day at the Long Beach Aquarium

For the first day of camp we decided to do something fun.... go underwater and learn about what we're going over when we ride those waves. The Long Beach Aquarium is one of the most amazing places I've ever been.  It's not only educational, but you can literally pet the marine life!  The kids got to feel what a stingray and fish feel like, also come within inches of a tiger shark!!  The aquarium taught a lot on preserving our oceans and told how different the waters are now from even 30 years ago.  The fish have been fished out and waste has literally made itself into an island in the middle of the Pacific.  Did you know this plastic vortex is twice the size of Texas?!?! If you can, go to the aquarium.  It has changed our life!
