Our friends over at Surfer Magazine tracked down another one of our favorite friends, CR Stecyk III, to try and make sense of his new film, FIN — which premieres at Hurley )( Space this Wednesday, February 8th at 6 PM. Long story short: The film pays homage to the DIY culture of past and present. Everyone is still extremely confused, but all the more intrigued. Read the interview here.

We've recently joined forces with iconic artist C.R. Stecyk III on a special project in conjunction with his new short film “FIN" — set to debut on February 8 at the Hurley H Space Gallery at Hurley HQ from 6 to 9 PM. We hope to see you there. But for now, peep the trailer above.

You know that sensation of having sweaters on your teeth? Like when you don't brush them for a while and they start to feel a little furry? Gross, we know. But maybe that was the inspiration for the Hairy Teeth art show, which kicked off last night at 225 in Laguna. Whatever the inspiration, the show, featuring mixed media work by local artists known as Stink and Joshr, was awesome. So click through for a photo recap of the event, and for more coverage head over to aopublic.com.com.

Hurley is proud to present new mixed media work, paintings and collaborative installations from two cool local dudes. Hairy Teeth opens at 225 in Laguna Beach on Thursday, February 2 from 6:30-9:30 during the Laguna Art Walk. We will be providing free treats from Rasta Taco, DJ Knucklehead will be spinning jams on REAL RECORDS and three images from the show will be available for customization on apparel from Converse, Nike and Hurley. We’ll see you there!

Are we jumping the gun? Getting a little ahead of ourselves? Counting our south swells before they've generated? Maybe, but all we can think about is surfing in boardshorts. So really, it's no wonder our art team got their Block Party on and tagged up the Hobie wall in Corona Del Mar with Block Party's signature two stripes. Do a drive by to stoke out your eyes and subconsciously or, consciously get ready for boardshort weather — even if it is, actually, still January.

Every first Thursday of the month, the streets of Laguna Beach come alive with art and music for the monthly Laguna Art Walk -- a real creative explosion! This past Thursday 225 played host to the works of Laguna Beach High School students. The work shown was holiday themed and, not to mention, really impressive. Click 'Full Story' for photos. Last night's Anti Canvas art show in Honolulu's Chinatown went off in fine fashion thanks to Contrast Magazine, the 30 amazing artists who helped create the unique, wearable art and the energetic, packed crowd. All pieces were auctioned off with proceeds going to two charities: Pow Wow Hawaii and Japan Relief Fund. Thanks again to everyone involved! Photos: PK
