The high-impact explosion of color art exhibit that is Roger Webb's Swimming With The Fishes opened at 225 last night. A packed crowd rubbed elbows with the artist himself as he chatted with partygoers. Another Roger, Roger Wyett our super cool former-CEO was also onhand enjoying another great Laguna Art Walk. Check out the photos from the night below, and definitely go check out the exhibit for yourself if you're in the Laguna area in the next month.

As part of the Laguna Beach Art Walk, we are proud to present Swimming With The Fishes: a series of fresh prints and paintings by Roger Webb. The opening reception takes place Thursday, April 5 from 6:30 – 9:30 PM at 225 Forest Ave, Laguna Beach 92651. Roger is an L.A.-based painter, animator and set designer. His extreme scale and super-saturated color palette are sure to make this yet another great event at 225. Hope to see you there!
Come Friday, April 6th, Hurley will host what is likely to be one of our best art shows to date. Partly because it's way more than just an art show. Here's the rundown: An art show from a loose-knit aggregation of pool agitators, congregators, drainers and riders. New work by skate legends Salba, C.R. Stecyk III, Lance Mountain, Duane Peters and Steve Olson. Live performance by Salba's all-star tuff guy band: Powerflex 5. The skatepark will be open to the public, and the sublimation truck will be cranking out free customizable Salba clothing. Free handmade Salba zines for the first 100 guests. The fun starts at 6 and goes until 9. See all you cats there!
If you were planning on coming to the Devil's Highway opening last night, but opted to stay in and get caught up on Parks and Recreation and The Office (which, on any other night, is a pretty solid way to spend a Thursday night), here's a bunch of photos to get you up to speed. Lots of people -- really good looking ones -- showed up, so you kind of blew it by not being there. We actually made a list of acceptabe reasons for missing such a kick ass soiree, and the only excuse that made any sense to us was if you were too busy cat breading (google it if you're reading this wondering what the heck cat breading is). So even though you're awesome for breading cats, you still missed a pretty epic party. Click through for the visually stimulating recap -- it's as close to being there as you'll get.

Our friends over at Surfer Magazine tracked down another one of our favorite friends, CR Stecyk III, to try and make sense of his new film, FIN — which premieres at Hurley )( Space this Wednesday, February 8th at 6 PM. Long story short: The film pays homage to the DIY culture of past and present. Everyone is still extremely confused, but all the more intrigued. Read the interview here.
