Remember that epic party we threw after the Hurley Pro? Well, these guys were the reason why it went off in such fine fashion. We Barbarians also stopped by the Hurley Studios the other week to record some of their favorite songs. This one is called 'Chambray'. Enjoy!

There's a reason why surfers vote the Hurley Pro as their favorite event on tour: the wave and event are just way too much fun. Our friends over at Surfing Magazine know this and have taken a look back at the event, producing what they claim to be their "best work yet." We don't know about you, but the flipbook makes us wish it was already early September again. Check the goods over at surfingmagazine.com.
Former World Champion, Barton Lynch, recaps the sixth annual Blast Off, a pre-junior contest he hosts at Palm Beach in Sydney. Browse through the highlights in the extended story. Straight from the champ's desktop to your screen. Pretty rad... And the kids look like they had as much fun as BL did when he won the '88 Billabong Pro.
One of the most heated battles of the Hurley Pro at Lowers went down in Round 2 between seasoned World Tour surfer, Ace Buchan, and wildcard Conner Coffin. Relive the drama with Conner's Hurley Pro video here.
E.G. snuck out right before the final of the 2011 Hurley Pro at Trestles for an Expression Session with the San Clemente locals. Evan, along with Kolohe Andino, was a standout of the 30 minute free surf. This was just one of the big airs the guy pulled. And after watching him and Kolohe duke it out, we can't wait to see what future Hurley Pro events will look like. Check the Full Frame over at stabmag.com.
It's official. Another Hurley Pro is in the books. And, in the end, it meant another win for the 11-time, err, 10-time world champ. The waves the final two days were perfect, the weather cooperated and the world's best surfers were treated to an event unlike any other. The contest ended Wednesday, just like the two before it -- with Kelly Slater and Owen Wright in the final. The new rivalry-in-the-making saw Kelly edge out Owen with a clutch buzzer-beating wave, delivering when it matters as only Kelly can. If you missed the Final, it's a must-see. Check out full coverage and highlights, including the new Hurley Pro On Demand video player -- where you can watch every single wave ridden from the four days of action -- over at hurley.com/hurleypro/.
There's something about black and white photography that makes everything more awesome. So, even though it's only been a few days, these photos are making us nostalgic for the greatest stop on tour, the Hurley Pro -- alright maybe we're a bit bias but take a look at these photos and relive all the action here and then try to tell us the Hurley Pro ain't one of the greatest contests ever.
Want to know what happened in the next frame? Check out all of Life Without Andy's photos from the after party (also Ace Buchan's birthday, hence the cake to face action) here to find out.
