We're not shy about stealing some looks from the guys, and while the Ace Oxford looks great on our boyfriends as is, we thought it could use some adjustments if it wanted to fit into our closet! So read on to see how after some dye, some snips here and there and a few patches and pins, the Ace Oxford can go from your boyfriend's Sunday best to your favorite go-to vest. Our advice: throw it on over a hoodie and some skinny jeans or use it to toughen up a girly dress. Bonus points if you add studs!
If you're anything like us, you love a good costume party (i.e., a reason to dress up and eat candy. Lots and lots of candy). So, naturally Halloween is like, our favorite thing ever. And since we've faced the facts and realized work/school may not be the best the place for a full blown zombie ballerina costume (with fake blood or you're doing it wrong), we've compiled some costumes that will work no matter where you are. Uptight work place? Don't want to go the distance? Got a dress code to adhere to? Have a weird affinity for witchy wear? Well then boy, do we have the outfit for you. Click through for all our casual costume ideas!
There's something sinister lurking behind Rosie's spunky attitude and charming smile. And that something is a freakishly good Halloween playlist. We called upon the ghoul with the best iTunes library we know of and had her pick out her favorite creepy melodies (but knowing Rosie, these are songs she listens to all year long). Because for some, Halloween isn't just a holiday, it's a lifestyle. So meet us at the cemetry gates (with The Smiths) and we'll bark at the moon (with Ozzy Osbourne), because this is a Dead Man's Party (just like Oingo Boingo said it would be). Yes, it's Halloween (which more than a few of the songs on here are named), so get in the spirit with Rosie's Playlist. Awoooooo!
Everyone has a different style, and there are a million and one combinations you can make from the same pieces. We want to see YOUR style. If you tried our Lookbook Contest last year, this is just like it! We want to give you the chance to win your dream get up from Hurley by having you design your own Fall-inspired “set” on Polyvore. All you have to do is create a “set” on Polyvore using Fall-inspired items from the Hurley store and submit it to our design team for review. Sets will be judged on creativity, aesthetic appeal and originality! Don't know how to use Polyvore? Click through to the extended story for a tutorial. By entering you agree to the Official Rules, found here.
Everyone loves a good staple piece, a simple tank that's comfy, goes with everything and let's you be you. For instance, we love this photo of Rosie because even in a plain black tank you can tell she's a firecracker. So let your personality do the talking this fall in our simple, comfy basics (the Nfinitee is a fave). Shop tees and tanks here.
There's nothing like a summer vacay. But sometimes you're not the one who's taking the vacation, but rather the one who's hosting the foreign visitor! Such was the case for resident long boarding ballerina (literally, she longbaords and does ballet), Rachael Tilly. We'll let Rachael do the talking and tell you a little bit about her German BFF, spoiler alert: she rides horses standing up and does tricks on them! How? We're not sure but it sounds like something we want to know more about. Click through to hear about part of Rachael's summer, straight from the horse's mouth, as they say.
When she isn't surfing or smiling, Cayla Moore is probably having a spontaneous photo shoot with big sis, Carissa. And as we all know, these sisters know their way around an air section or two, but it would appear they're also not too shabby behind and in front of a camera. You see, as Carissa fine-tunes her photography skills, Cayla fine-tunes her modeling — and what better way to do the latter than in our Indie dress? Looks cute on Cayla, will look cute on you too (perfect for the back to school)! Check it out in more detail here :)
Molly managed to sneak in some quality beach camping, sun bathing and nap time with seal pups – all before her journey to North Carolina. Oh, and not to mention a summer fling. Keep reading for a word from Molly and photos of her weekend.
Molly checks in from a summer vacation in her home away from home, North Carolina. Spoiler alert, it'll make you want to go run away to a forest and jump in a river.
