Fourteen unsigned artists and bands from around the world were brought together to give back to charity and promote unsigned talent across new mediums and demographics. The UNSIGNED|UNREST project put together an album of 17 unreleased tracks, with 100% of the proceeds going to St. Jude's. So if you love music, love giving back and want to kill two birds with one stone, check out the UNSIGNED|UNREST album here.

We have our own music studio where bands come to record, and if you didn't already know, we hosted some pretty epic concerts the past few years at the US Open in Huntington Beach. So naturally, when we heard about a band that was "badass and trippy as sh*t," it was impossible to NOT share it with you guys.
After giving Bleeding Rainbow's new album, Yeah Right, a listen, we were hooked. Their sound is pretty unique to say the least: mellow indie meets retro punk rock with some psychedelic distortion and watery guitars. Think Broken Social Scene meets Best Coast in 1967. Sounds up your alley? Get it all on iTunes here.
After five years without a new record, The Bronx is back with their latest offering, an album that is sure to find a permanent home on your recently played iTunes list. You won't find any mariachi rifts (if you know, you know) on "The Bronx (IV)" but you will find the rock mentality you've come to know and love from the LA quintet. Make haste and preview the album here on Rolling Stone. Then do the inevitable and buy it here from iTunes.
Jake and Jeff of Say Anything have started a little passion project with their new band, XO. They wanted to create a completely different sound, and came to record their new 7” (recorded by Parker Case) at the Hurley studios. We think XO sounds a little bit like My Bloody Valentine, with hints of Sigur Ros and Surfer Blood. Enjoy! Video: YB.

OK fine, you caught us. We've got a thing for musicians. We can't help it, we're girls and some stereotypes really do hold true. But crushes aside, the new EP from Jean Noir is super catchy and, no joke, playing in our office 90% of the time. It's equal parts eighties-inspired, synth pop, new age love song, ethereal and awesome. So let your ears be happy here — and guys, we know you want to sing along, and that's totally fine with us.
Our old friend, Nick Long of Wild Heart has been on the road in Europe and has some photos and stories to show for it. Click through to see what he has to say about his travels.
Here's a little musical snack for your Friday afternoon - The Drowning Men in the Hurley studio, recording their new single "Beggar Man." Feast your ears...
