The 6th Annual Pacific Wave “Spring Fling” presented by Hurley (hey, that's us!) went down this past Saturday at Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz, CA. The morning started off a little gloomy with a low tide, but mid morning gave way to sunshine and clean conditions with waves in the 2-4 ft range. Good times in one of our favorite surf towns! It's been a long six months since Hurricane Sandy has made landfall — and the relief efforts are still going, and going strong thanks to Jon Rose and Waves for Water. Press play to relive one man's account of the storm and to see how Jon, along with locals, are rebuilding homes and lives on the east coast. One small way to help is with a purchase of one of our Hurley H2O Hurricane Sandy tees. All proceeds from these shirts go towards Jon and his relief initiative.

Fourteen year old Cody Lovaas is from Carlsbad, California and may or may not be a junior Jack Johnson. He came by our studios where he played the ukulele and guitar (which he's been practicing for 7 years). His music inspired by the beach, longboarding and influences like Jack, Donavon Frankenreiter and Jason Mraz. Check it out.

The 17th annual Childrens Water Festival was held at UC Irvine and aimed to educated kids about their water footprint – something we think everyone should learn about. Hurley H2O partnered with the Ecology Center and their water shed, and Evan Marks spent two days educating kids on the shed, where Southern California water comes from, and how simple changes can make a difference. Press play and see for yourself.

Twenty four years young and hailing from the sunny coast of northeast Australia, Julian Wilson is a true athlete. Growing up with two older brothers, Bart and Seb, Julian stayed busy both in and out of the water. Skateboarding played a large role in Julian's aerialist approach to surfing, but his overall love for sports is what fuels his competitive nature. Whatever the game golf, tennis, cricket – you can be sure that Julian will hold his own. Get to know Jules in his One & Only feature, where he breaks down what West Australia has to offer. See more of Julian here.

Introducing the latest from the Hurley Art department: The Monthly Throw Up! And no, it's not as gross as it sounds: "throw up” is a graffiti term referring to a large painting of letters or words. These are usually painted illegally (but ours is legal), and are executed quickly - which is why featured Monthly Throw Up artists complete their paintings in just a few days. After the mural is completed, the art will be available at Salvation Irvine and Salvation Malibu for customization - but just for one month and then it's on to the next artist! This month, we're kicking things off with artist Andy Anderson from Long Beach. Press play to see what he did with our blank wall and click 'Full Story' for an interview with Andy including questions like "What is the name of your spirit animal?".
